Garnet Construction was formed to provide superior residential homebuilding and commercial construction services to the Charleston, South Carolina area. Our activities include custom homebuilding and complete home renovations and additions, as well as historical restorations and light commercial new construction.
Bio
Our president, Mark Strong, has developed his passions for building and history since his college days at Miami University at Oxford, Ohio. Graduating from the School of Architecture with a degree in Environmental Design, Mark spent fifteen years with a national homebuilder, arriving in Charleston in 1987. Mark was recognized for his efforts with local utility companies to bring energy-efficient construction to volume homebuilding, and he gained a reputation for customer service excellence. After founding a custom homebuilding company in 1999, he built dream homes for clients in the Lowcountry for ten years prior to extending his expertise to historical renovation and commercial projects.
